Join this series of poetry workshops to celebrate
the centenary of prolific Tarbert poet, George
Campbell Hay. Workshop participants will be
able to study Campbell Hay’s poetry, his use of language
and Scots in general, as well as learn about Campbell Hay’s literary context as a Scots Renaissance poet. What’s more, participants will be encouraged to learn to recite some of Campbell Hay’s Scots poetry at the Centenary concert on 5 December 2015, accompanied by a musical soundscape and display of visual art/photography.
Derrick is Honorary Senior Lecturer at the school of Language and Literature at the University of Aberdeen and Research Fellow at the University of the Highlands and Islands.
