Gaelic for Beginners – with Joy Dunlop

If you’ve always wanted to learn Gaelic, now’s your chance! A series of workshop weekends is being held in Tarbert, Loch Fyne, in which you can learn the basics of Gaelic. By the end of the workshops you will be able to introduce yourself and ask and tell about activities such as your work, your hobbies and where you live.

The workshops are being offered as part of the George Campbell Hay Centenary Celebration to celebrate the works of prolific Tarbert poet, George Campbell Hay. Participants will also be encouraged to learn to recite some of Campbell Hay’s Gaelic poetry at the Centenary concert on 5 December 2015, accompanied by a musical soundscape and display of visual art/photography.

Joy is a renowned Gaelic tutor, singer, musician and presenter from Connel, Argyll.

Workshop dates: 2-3 May, 23-24 May, 5-6 September, 26-27 September, 31 October - 1 November, 21-22 November

Cost: £25 per weekend
